About Nurturing Beginnings
A decade of this work, and four children of my own.
Postpartum support, overnight newborn care, sleep consulting and lactation support — and the training behind each one.
Nurturing Beginnings
Relax — I've got this.
In my own words
Why I do this.
My background in developmental psychology and my work in postpartum care, sleep consulting, and lactation support shape my understanding of the needs of both children and parents. I care deeply about supporting families during this vulnerable time, offering thoughtful guidance that helps them feel more confident and cared for.
What I bring
What I trained in.
Each of these changes what I notice, and what I'd suggest.
-
Developmental psychology
The lens I look through. It shapes how I understand what's normal for a child at each stage, and what a parent can reasonably expect of themselves.
-
Postpartum doula care
Hands-on help in the first weeks — recovery, the questions you feel silly asking, and the whole family adjusting to the new normal.
-
Pediatric sleep consulting
Plans built around your child's development and your family's comfort level, rather than one method applied to every baby.
-
Lactation counseling
Feeding support, at the point where you actually need it.
Holding space for mom
Somebody has to ask how you're doing.
The baby gets weighed, checked and admired. You get asked how you're healing, whether you've eaten, and when you last slept — and then someone makes sure the answer changes.
So you can sleep while you recover. I'll help dad support you too, and help the whole family adjust to the new normal.
Book a consultation
Start with a hello.
You don't have to know what you need yet. A due date, a bad night, a question — one sentence is enough.
Thank you — it's with me.
I'll write back to the address you gave. If it's urgent, please say so in a follow-up and I'll come back to you first.
